CONSULTATIONS
- Considerations: There may be an underlying cause for your treatment that isn't immediately apparent and will only become clear through questioning techniques, verbal and written communication, observation, diagnostic assessment, and analysis. Finally, I will determine whether our interaction and process are suitably relevant and supportive for you. Otherwise, I will refer you to the appropriate support for making positive changes in your life.
- Treatments: You may need to remove specific clothing for the treatment you are having, but your privacy and modesty will always be respected.
- Age Restrictions: Those under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian with written consent before any treatment. Advanced treatments for anyone under the age of 18 will not be performed.
TALKING THERAPY
- During Your Appointment: You can maintain control over the content and pace of sessions during your appointment. You are not being evaluated or assessed. These sessions are most beneficial if you have a strong desire to explore yourself and your feelings, and wish to address specific psychological habits or thinking patterns. This is effective in helping you overcome specific problems such as depression, anxiety, stress, grief, or other concerns, as these can significantly impact self-esteem, self-reliance, and self-awareness.
- After Your Appointment: If you are driven by free associations or require help with deep issues related to health, unconsciousness, repression, defence mechanisms, projection, reflection, or the influence of your past on your future, or an analysis of your thought patterns, structured frameworks and techniques may be necessary. This may require Psychoanalysis, REBT, or CBT therapy, which can be found through other professional organizations (paraphrased from The Counselling Directory for Person-Centred Therapy).
